The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is investigating Lodge Card Club Austin for “suspected money laundering and illegal gambling.”
AUSTIN, Texas — An investigation is underway following a raid at a popular card club in Round Rock last week.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) executed a raid at Lodge Card Club Austin last Tuesday, March 10, citing an ongoing investigation into “suspected money laundering and illegal gambling.”
A spokesperson with the agency said that approximately 20 TABC agents were involved with the operation, along with officers from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the IRS.
No arrests were made nor were any charges filed during the raid. TABC said the investigation remains ongoing.
The club currently remains closed as the investigation continues, according to TABC.
