LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The City of Lubbock Water Utilities has closed northbound lanes on Indiana Avenue between 34th and 35th streets for emergency repairs to two sewer manholes.
Two eastbound lanes and the westbound left turn lane on 34th Street are also closed as part of the work. Repairs are expected to be completed Tuesday.
TxDOT reduces I-27 to one lane near downtown Lubbock
The Texas Department of Transportation has reduced northbound traffic on I-27 to one lane between Broadway and Main Street while crews make repairs. The 19th Street on-ramp is also closed during the work.
I-27 construction extends into Swisher County
TxDOT crews have also begun work on I-27 in Swisher County, working southward toward Hale County. Single and double lane closures are expected, along with overnight lane closures. Work is expected to continue through August.
Drivers are asked to slow down and drive carefully through all work zones.
