HOUSTON, Texas (KBTX) – The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo updated its code of conduct after fights led to an early closure of the event on Saturday.
The updated policy, issued on March 16th, includes a revised dress code and outlines conduct and behavior prohibited on show grounds.
According to the latest version of the policy, conduct and behavior that is threatening, belligerent, disorderly, obscene, illegal, and disruptive or interferes with or endangers the operations, staff or patrons, among other things, is prohibited.
That conduct includes, but is not limited to, fighting, using profanity or abusive language, and using threatening remarks, symbols or gestures.
The new policy also states proper attire must be worn at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear.
Rodeo officials say they reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate.
