LUBBOCK, TX (KLBK) – KAMC Forecaster Larry Rodriguez has your Sunday evening update for October 12, 2025.
Tonight’s Low – 64°
Tomorrow’s High – 76°
Sunday night will be mild with lows ranging from the upper 50s to the upper 60s. Winds will be from the southwest at about 5-10 mph. Mostly cloudy conditions are expected with rain showers possible through Monday morning.
Highs for Monday will be cooler than Sunday, almost 10 degrees cooler. A cold front will creep its way thru the area dropping temperatures into the upper 70s to the lower 80s. Some areas could see highs in the upper 60s. Mostly cloudy conditions are expected with a 50% chance for rain showers. No severe weather is expected. Showers will begin to increase early Monday morning and will continue through-out the day into Tuesday.
Monday is looking to be the rainiest day next week. Lingering showers could still be possible early Tuesday morning but all precipitation should dimmish by the afternoon. Temperatures will also begin to warm up by Tuesday. Wednesday will be a lot sunnier than how the week started, with temperatures staying in the middle to low 80s thru the weekend. Highs will begin to cool down slightly once again on Sunday. Rain chances could also return by next Monday.
With temperatures beginning to drop, don’t forget to put your guess in for when Lubbock will see its first freeze. If you can guess the exact date, hour and minute of when Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport records a low of 32°, you could win a prize package valued at $1,500, courtesy of Shiver’s Mobile Storage & Ice Delivery. Complete rules and regulations can be found at everythinglubbock.com under the 2025 Contests tab. Good Luck!!
Have a great week!
