With KJXK San Antonio rebranding as “102.7 Bob FM,” Connoisseur Media San Antonio is turning to a seasoned local programmer to lead the station’s next phase. The company has named Sam Pieprzyca Program Director of the station, tasking him with shaping the station’s sound and new identity.

Pieprzyca has been with the cluster since 2004 and has most recently served as Assistant Program Director of KJXK, which rebranded from “102.7 Jack FM” to “102.7 Bob FM” in January.

“I grew up listening to 102.7 here in San Antonio, and it’s always felt like part of this city’s soundtrack,” Pieprzyca said. “It’s evolved over the years, but the focus is still the same — great music. I’m proud to take on a bigger role in continuing that tradition for San Antonio.”

Company executives pointed to Pieprzyca’s market knowledge and format expertise as key factors in the decision. Keith Dakin, VP of Programming for Connoisseur Media, said his familiarity with both the audience and the Adult Hits format made him the right choice to guide the transition.

“With a refreshed brand and a seasoned local host like Sam, 102.7 Bob FM will deliver a more personal and music-driven experience for listeners across South Texas,” Dakin said.

Greg Martin, Operations Manager for Connoisseur Media San Antonio, emphasized Pieprzyca’s long tenure in the format and creative approach to programming. “He understands better than anyone what 102.7 Bob FM should sound like to reflect the city’s rhythm and culture,” Martin said. “He’s also one of the most creative writers and idea people you’ll ever meet.”

Morgan Harrison, VP and Market Manager for Connoisseur Media San Antonio, added that Pieprzyca’s commitment to both the station and the community made him a natural fit for the role.

“The commitment and loyalty he has shown not only in our building with colleagues, but to the community of San Antonio, made him the obvious choice to lead 102.7 into the future,” Harrison said.
