A pedestrian died on Tuesday night after being hit by a car that fled the scene, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release.
DALLAS — A man died on Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Dallas, police said.Â
Officers responded around 9:07 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, to a major crash in the 6300 block of East Northwest Highway, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release. When investigators arrived, they found that a man had been hit by a vehicle, the release states.Â
Dallas-Fire Rescue responded, and the man was declared dead on the scene, police said. The vehicle that hit the man left the scene but was found in a parking lot near the scene of the crash, the release states. The suspect driving was also found and arrested, police said.Â
Police did not immediately identify the suspect, and police are investigating.Â
