With additional nonstop service in place, the focus turns to how city leaders aim to maximize the economic benefits for Abilene.
KTXS asked, “What steps is the City of Abilene taking to ensure that these additional flights directly benefit Abilene’s economy?”
Mayor Hurt explained that the city and the Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA) are working together to boost Abilene’s economy and foster job growth.
“The City of Abilene has partnered with the DCOA to make sure that we see economic development, more opportunities for businesses, and just more choices for businessmen and businesswomen here.”
