A new restaurant concept with a large rooftop patio is preparing to open in one of Dallas’ established retail districts. CRAFT Restaurant & Beer Market will open its first U.S. location on April 1 in Preston Center, bringing an expansive menu, more than 100 beer taps and one of the area’s first rooftop patios to the neighborhood.
According to an official statement, the restaurant is designed as a gathering place for everyday dining, celebrations and large group events. The Dallas location will include indoor and outdoor seating for more than 500 guests, making it one of the larger hospitality venues in the district.
A Canadian Concept Arrives In Dallas
CRAFT was founded in Calgary in 2011 and has built a following across Canada for its combination of craft beer selection, casual dining and social atmosphere. The Dallas restaurant marks the brand’s first Texas location and its entry into the US market.
The concept was developed by CRAFT founder PJ L’Heureux and President and COO Scott Frank in partnership with Tom Gaglardi, owner of the Dallas Stars and Moxies Restaurants.
“At CRAFT, our passion has always been delivering an experience that feels both personal and memorable,” L’Heureux said in an official statement. “As we officially open our newest location in Preston Center, we’re excited to create a place where the Dallas community can come together for any occasion.”
One of the most distinctive elements of the restaurant will be its rooftop patio, offering sunset views and flexible event space.
The restaurant will also include private and semi-private dining areas designed for corporate events, celebrations and group gatherings.
A Menu Built For Sharing
The restaurant will offer a full food and beverage program built around shareable plates, classic comfort dishes and craft beer.
Menu highlights include miso salmon, Korean sticky ribs, crispy salmon sushi and the brewmaster chicken sandwich, along with bowls, pastas, steaks and appetizers designed for group dining.
The beverage program features more than 100 taps, alongside cocktails such as the strawberry mezcalrita, oak-aged old fashioned and rosé lemonade.
CRAFT will also showcase beers from local Dallas breweries, including Peticolas Brewing Company and Celestial Beerworks, in addition to wines and spirits.
A weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. will feature discounted menu items and drinks.
