AUSTIN — The Resilient Austin Playbook is a citywide strategic plan developed by the city with the University of Texas at Austin and Resilient Cities Catalyst.
The plan establishes a framework of pillars, strategies and actions addressing infrastructure, climate adaptation, and growth pressures.
Projects include upgrades to roads, bridges, and power systems, flood control and drainage infrastructure, wildfire mitigation systems, reflective pavement treatments, property buyouts, and expansion of the urban tree canopy.
The initiative is supported by a five-year, $12 million partnership between the City of Austin and the University of Texas at Austin and will be implemented through Austin Climate Action and Resilience.
