According to the El Paso Police Department, the collapse happened at around 9:28 a.m. at the block of South El Paso Street, near the border bridge.

The El Paso Fire Department first reported that the 911 emergency call reported a car had crashed into the building; however, EPPD said the report is inaccurate.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

It is unclear why the facade collapsed.
