ATLANTA, Ga. – Four Cougars will represent the University of Houston Swimming & Diving program at the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. inside the McAuley Aquatic Center.

NCAA QUALIFIERS 
Senior Virag Peter, junior Michelle McLeod, sophomore Alexia Duncan and freshman Maisy Woloszyn combined to earn qualifications in six events. 

The Cougars begin competition with Duncan making her NCAA Championships debut in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday morning. The sophomore qualified for NCAAs with a personal best time of 52.62 at the Big 12 East Showdown (Jan. 16).  

Peter will also make her NCAA Championships debut in the 200-yard breaststroke following the backstroke event on Friday morning. The senior received her cut at the Phill Hansel Invitational on Nov. 21. The Hungary native beat her previous school record in the event at the Big 12 Conference Championships with a time of 2:08.11.

McLeod makes a trip to the NCAA Championships for a third consecutive year with this trip marking her first qualification in all three events. The junior collected all three zone cuts at the Houston Diving Invitational season opener on Oct. 10-11.

Woloszyn makes her first trip to the NCAA Championships after collecting the first individual Big 12 Conference Championship win on Feb. 26. The freshman scored her zone cut in the 3-meter at the Phill Hansel Invitational on Nov. 20 with a score of 281.45.
