The Mothers’ Brunch and Bazaar supporting Nexus Recovery Center is returning for its fifth year.

This year’s event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13. It will feature a new panel format including a discussion with Dr. Nancy Onisko, an ER Medicine and Addiction Specialist with Parkland Hospital, Judge Stephanie Huff of the Dallas County 291st Judicial District Court, and Family Gateway CEO Ellen Magnis. The panel will be moderated by Sharon Grigsby.

The event will feature brunch and a shopping bazaar with vendors offering jewelry, fashion and more. It will be chaired by Peggy Corrigan and Rachel Miller, with Cathleen Griffith and Maggie Kipp serving as honorary co-chairs.

Funds raised from the event will support Nexus Family Recovery Center, one of the few treatment centers in Texas that serves pregnant women and mothers experiencing substance use disorders while allowing children to remain with their mothers during treatment.

“At Nexus Family Recovery Center, we see every day how recovery is strengthened when organizations work together to meet the complex needs women and families face,” said Nexus Family Recovery Center CEO Heather Ormand. “From access to affordable housing to healthcare and long-term recovery support, these challenges require collaboration among nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community partners. This year’s panel will highlight how working together allows us to better support mothers and create stronger outcomes for families.”
