For the first time this season, Calallen will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Robstown Cottonpickers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Calallen has five straight wins, Robstown has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you’re on the field.
Calallen is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Ingleside with a sharp 22-4 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Cash Filla looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn’t given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
