East Texas contractor arrested again, accused of using construction funds for personal use

  • March 19, 2026

BULLARD, Texas (KLTV) – A Bullard man hired to rebuild a house instead took the homeowners’ money and used most of it for personal reasons, including casino visits, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office said.

Brian Christopher Glass, 52, was arrested on March 17 for misapplication of fiduciary property greater than $150,000 but less than $300,000.

A couple hired Glass to build a new home for them, beginning about July 1, 2022. The couple soon noticed discrepancies and irregular withdrawals from the bank account, and later had to pay some of the subcontractors himself out of pocket, as Glass allegedly had not been paying them, according to the probable cause affidavit. When the couple asked him to show them receipts for how the spent their money, they said Glass refused.

The couple contacted law enforcement who met them at the bank. An investigation into the account began.

Another investigator was simultaneously working on a similar case that was initiated by another couple who accused Glass of using their money to pay his own debts, go to a casino, and other things. Law enforcement got a search warrant and searched Glass’ home office, where he runs his company Glass Limitless Homes and Design, which led them to folders labeled with build names that had invoices and receipts inside for each of the couples.

They discovered at that time that yet another build had been going on at the time of the first couple’s, and Anderson County had granted a judgement against Brian Glass in the amount of $342,710 for a woman who had hired him.

Based on this and other evidence outlined in the affidavit, Brian Glass was arrested once again on March 11, 2026. for misapplication of fiduciary property, a second degree felony.

He was booked into the Smith County Jail. Recommended bond is $150,000.
