In Fort Worth, the fire department conducted 12 high-water rescues between Friday and Saturday.
This comes after the National Weather Service issued several severe thunderstorm warnings on Friday night as storms swept through several counties in the North Texas region.
More showers and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday, with a possibility of flooding in certain areas.
The department said they received about 800 calls since yesterday.

The department also received calls about 136 power lines being down.
About 20 high-water investigations were conducted by the department as well. The department reported one structural collapse where a tree fell on a house.
