Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock, in partnership with local firefighters, is hosting Responding BIG: Igniting Potential on Friday, March 20, a one-day mentorship experience connecting youth with first responders.
Firefighters and youth will spend the day together at the Science Spectrum, building meaningful connections while exploring the museum’s many permanent hands-on science exhibits, visiting the Butterflies Alive special exhibit, and viewing a movie in the OMNI Theater.
More than a day of fun, this volunteer driven event highlights the impact of mentorship. By connecting youth with real life heroes in our community, we are creating unforgettable experiences and opening doors to possibility, confidence, and future success. In so doing, this event brings to life the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission: to create meaningful one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
