Texas murder suspect arrested by Arkansas State Police near Dover

DOVER, Ark. (KATV) — A Texas murder suspect was arrested near Dover, Arkansas State Police said in a release on Thursday.

Scott Thompson was wanted by the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office in Texas in connection to the murder of a Mount Enterprise woman on Wednesday.

State Police say they found conducted a traffic stop on Thompson on Highway 7 near Moccasin Gap after they recognized his vehicle.

The 47-year-old was arrested without incident.

Thompson is being held at the Pope County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Rusk County.
