FORT WORTH, Texas (October 25, 2025) – The Lubbock Christian women’s cross-country team finished in eighth place at the 2025 Lone Star Conference Championships on Saturday at the Athletic Performance Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
The Lady Chaps finished with 213 total points, earning a higher finish than in the 2024 season.
 
Senior Olivia Weider was the top performer for the Lady Chaps, earning an All-Conference spot with a 12th-place finish. Weider posted a new personal best in the 6K race, finishing the course with a time of 22:19.77.
 
Brooke Moorelock came in next for LCU, and although her time of 23:54.40 was not a personal best, it was her best time of the 2025 season and earned her a 44th-place finish. Amy Tew came in shortly after in 51st with a time of 24:08.41.
 
Kylie Knapp also came across the finish line in the 50s, placing 57th. Yahaira Martinez completed the course with a time of 24:36.93 to place 59th. Bucki Smith placed 63rd with a time of 24:48.09.
 
Lily Rodriguez was the final Lady Chap to score points, finishing in 67th with a time of 24:55.38.
 
LCU had two more runners in the meet, with Kinley Cornelson placing 84th and Keely Franco coming in at 112th.
 
The Lady Chaps will now gear up for the NCAA South Central Regional Championships on Nov. 8 in Pueblo, Colorado.
