Tyler High’s Dyniste Lacy drives in 2, Wiley loses doubleheader to Dallas

MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) – Former Tyler High Lady Lion Dyniste Lacy drove in two runs as Wiley University was swept in a doubleheader by the University of Dallas on Wednesday.

Dallas won the first game 9-1 and the second 8-4.

In the first game, Lacy went 2-for-3 with an RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, Lacy singled into left-center field to score Alayna Parram. Longview’s Kyrra Boone went 0-for-1. Lufkin’s Serenity Smith went 0-for-2 at the plate and took the loss in the circle. She pitched six innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits while striking out one and walking three.

In the second game, Lacy went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run. In the seventh, Lacy singled into center field to score T’era Garrett. Lacy pitched the seventh inning, allowing two hits and striking out one. Boone went 1-for-1 while Atlanta’s Sabriiyah Young went 2-for-3. Smith went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run. In the fifth inning, she hit a solo home run over the right-center field wall. In the circle, she pitched six innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits while striking out two and walking four.

Wiley has lost three games in a row to fall to 3-10 overall. The Tigers head to Dillard, Louisiana, on Saturday for a four-game weekend series.
