If you travel the Dallas North Tollway through Uptown, expect a tighter drive and potential slowdowns this weekend as crews will shut down multiple lanes for maintenance work.
The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is planning continuous lane closures beginning 10 p.m. Friday, March 20, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 23, targeting bridge surfaces over Lemmon Avenue and Wycliff Avenue.

The closures are not full shutdowns, but they will significantly reduce capacity through one of the busiest stretches of the tollway near Uptown and Oak Lawn.
Northbound DNT: two left lanes closed from Cedar Springs Road to Lemmon Avenue
Southbound DNT: two right lanes closed from Lemmon Avenue to Wycliff Avenue
At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times, but with multiple lanes blocked off, traffic is expected to slow, especially during peak weekend travel times. The closure is to allow crews to complete its bridge surface repair, which typically involves resurfacing, sealing, or reinforcing the roadway where it crosses over city streets.
NTTA has used similar weekend closure windows in the past for bridge repair projects, often choosing late-night start times and early-morning reopenings to limit the impact on weekday commuters.
