The Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) and the Dallas Art Fair are staying put.
FIG Enterprises, Inc. has extended its 75,000-square-foot lease with Hunt Consolidated, Inc. at 1807 Ross Avenue, said John Sughrue, founder of FIG and CEO of Brook Partners, Inc.
The deal locks the gallery and the Dallas Art Fair into the Arts District property through 2033.
FIG’s occupancy at 1807 Ross Avenue dates back more than 23 years. The property serves as a premier site for fashion designers in the world of women’s apparel and accessories. The professional wholesale venue is open five times a year for trade show events.

The Dallas Art Fair has called the site home for nearly two decades. The event brings thousands of visitors to downtown ― including designers, collectors, galleries, buyers and audiences from across the country and abroad.
Sughrue said FIG has expanded four times during its stay in the building, and the gallery would take more space at the property if it became available.
Downtown Dallas, he said, is “the center of the creative communities in North Texas.”

“Downtown has been very good to the Fashion Industry Gallery. Our designers and buyers love the location,” Sughrue said.
Mike Wallace, president of investment management and development for Hunt Realty Investments, said in a statement that he was pleased Sughrue and the venue aren’t going anywhere.
“Our long-time partnership with John Sughrue and Brook Partners at 1807 Ross has brought real benefits to downtown Dallas and the growing fashion and arts communities here, and we are pleased to see that relationship continue for years to come,” he said.
