NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 are celebrating Women’s History Month with Her Story, a campaign focused on the amazing, unique, and powerful stories of unstoppable women in our community.
Today, we shine a spotlight on Estella Williams, President of the Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP.
Estella has over 20 years of business experience and is a former National Civil Rights Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She is a member of numerous professional organizations and volunteers regularly with national, state and local non-profit organizations.

Estella is a public speaker, a mentor, and a trainer, and she is passionate about helping people with low self-esteem and low self-determination transform and empower their spirits.

Estella has been a member of the NAACP since the age of nine. Her nomination for President of the Fort Worth Tarrant County branch was groundbreaking when in 2017, she became the first female president of the branch and remains the only female president in the branch’s 92-year history.

As president, Estella focuses on building strong relationships between the community and local law enforcement agencies, the courts and school districts. She leads the organization to present health initiatives, educational programs, environmental programs and informational forums to the public. She is currently overseeing the Pound the Ground: Get Out the Vote non-partisan campaign, which encourages everyone to register, prepare and vote via ads on radio, television, digital streaming, social media, and onsite events.

Her work as a civil rights leader and her unwavering efforts to ensure the political, social, and economic equality of all persons makes Estella Williams an Unstoppable Woman!
