There will be an estate sale this weekend at the home of longtime KXAS entertainment reporter Bobbie Wygant, who died in 2024.
Wygant, who was 97, joined the TV station when it was created as WBAP-TV in 1948. She did “a little of everything” at KXAS, from hosting a news program called “Dateline” and live game shows to interviewing celebrities, according to previous Star-Telegram reporting.
She was hired two weeks before the station, founded by Amon Carter as the first TV station in Texas, went on air and said in a book she published that she planned to stay in television until she was 98. She retired after 70 years with the station and continued freelancing for KXAS, returning regularly for major anniversaries.
Bourland’s Vintage Sales is hosting the estate sale at Wygant’s Fort Worth home over the weekend. Here’s what to know.
