FORT WORTH, Texas — The Oklahoma men’s and women’s track and field teams opened the outdoor season Friday at the TCU Alumni Invitational, highlighted by a trio of event titles and multiple top-10 marks in program history.

Chesni Scott led the way on the women’s side, winning the discus with a throw of 52.79m (173’2.00″).

Connor Jones added a victory in the men’s hammer throw, recording a personal-best 58.30m (191’3.00″) to move to No. 10 in OU history.

Brendon See followed with a strong performance in the men’s discus, placing second with an outdoor personal-best throw of 58.29m (191’3.00″), good for No. 4 in program history.

In her outdoor debut, Brianna Rivers cleared 1.70m (5’7.00″) to place third in the women’s high jump.

Julian McCullough secured a win in the men’s high jump, clearing 2.05m (6’8.75″).

Kennedy Clarke closed out the day for the Sooners with a runner-up finish in the women’s hammer throw, recording a mark of 61.82m (202’10.00″).

Day two of the TCU Alumni Invitational begins Saturday at 9 a.m. CT with the women’s 5,000 meters. The Sooners will begin field events at 9:30 a.m. CT with the women’s weight throw. Live results will be available via NTX Timing.
