HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Fireworks were flying into the air when a shipping container filled with them went up in flames on Wednesday in northwest Harris County, the fire marshal said.

Spring Fire Department officials said that fire crews responded to the fire just after 7 p.m. in the 23300 block of Kuykendahl.

The department said the fire started in an RV, spreading into an adjacent shipping container filled with fireworks, and then prompted a grass fire spreading into a wooded area and rail line.

Crews from Spring FD, Klein FD, The Woodlands, Magnolia, and Tomball controlled the grass fire and extinguished the shipping container, fire officials said.

According to officials, no injuries were reported.

An investigation is still ongoing.
