DFW locals love Fort Worth’s Lucile’s for its chicken fried steak, lobster bisque and crab benedict during weekend brunch.
And now, there will be a second location in the Metroplex.
Lucile’s Stateside Bistro is undoubtedly a Fort Worth classic. Its green and white building at 4700 Camp Bowie Blvd. has always been a home to restaurants, as some may remember it as Steve’s Cafe, Finley’s Cafeteria or The Black Eyed Pea before becoming what we love now.
The restaurant’s been open on the red brick road since 1993.
And now, its popularity has paid off. Lucile’s second location will open in Colleyville, according to Lucile’s owner Terry Kearney.
Kearney had been looking for an additional space, far enough from the Fort Worth establishment but still the same community-feel that Camp Bowie neighborhood brings to Lucile’s.
So when he found the new 5204 Colleyville Blvd. dining room, it just worked out.
🔥 In case you missed it…
When will the new Lucile’s open in Colleyville?
Kearney plans to open around August, he told the Star-Telegram.
He is just beginning construction on the site and design plans are still underway.
There was some confusion on how the City of Colleyville is involved, because they broke the news of Lucile’s second location.
It’s not a matter of Colleyville being involved in Lucile’s lease. Kearney applied to be a part of the City of Colleyville’s business incentive program (Business Enhancements to Support Transformation, or BEST). This program allows local businesses to apply for grants to improve the appearance of their bussinesses.
It’s not guarenteed that Lucile’s will be awarded the incentive from the city. And if it does happen, Lucile’s would get the funds after the restaurant has already opened.
Lucile’s, in Fort Worth on August 22, 2007. Brian Lawdermilk Fort Worth Star-Telegram Will Lucile’s in Coleyville have the same menu as Lucile’s Fort Worth?
The seafood restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily with brunch on the weekends.
Locals love to sip on their signature martinis or bloody marys. The stuffed mushrooms, fried green tomatoes and lobster bisque are staple starters. Chicken fried steak (voted best in Fort Worth), crab cakes and lobster roll are the go-to entrées. For weekend brunch, people rave about the eggs benedict with crab.
Kearney confirmed to the Star-Telegram that Lucile’s in Colleyville will have the same menu, but the daily specials will be different at each location.
He also said they are working on an updated breakfast menu.
