Plano East dropped down to 5-10-2 on Thursday, ending the team’s three-game streak of wins. They lost 18-0 to the Allen Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Panthers’ shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for Allen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won 11 of their last 12 contests. That’s provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Allen, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
For Allen’s part, Harper Dennis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Dennis a new career-high. Ashtyn Kotaska was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
