Corpus Christi will host the 2026 state convention of the Texas Democratic Party in June with U.S. Sen. Cory Booker as the keynote speaker.
The Texas Democratic Convention is planned to take place June 25-27 in Corpus Christi.
The event is the largest Democratic gathering in the country and will bring together thousands of Democrats from across the state to prepare for the November election, according to a March 20 news release from the Texas Democratic Party.

Additional speakers and programming will be announced later, according to the news release.

During the campaign season before the primary election in March, two candidates for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and Texas Rep. James Talarico, campaigned in Corpus Christi.
The Texas Democratic Convention will occur three months after President Donald Trump visited the Port of Corpus Christi. Other recent visits by prominent federal politicians include March stops by Sen. John Cornyn and Rep. Vicente Gonzalez at the Corpus Christi Army Depot and a visit by U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright to Cheniere Energy.
The 2026 Republican Party of Texas Convention is scheduled for June 11-13 in Houston. During the convention, delegates from across Texas will adopt the state party platform.
