Investigators believe the shooting happened at a different location from where the man was found.

HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after police found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest along the Gulf Freeway in southwest Houston early Saturday morning.

The Houston Police Department said officers were responding to a shooting call in a parking lot off the Gulf Freeway near Clearwood Drive around 1 a.m. when they found the man.

Responding officers gave the man first aid, and he was rushed to a hospital. We don’t know his condition.

Investigators believe the shooting happened at a different location from where the man was found.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
