AUSTIN, Texas — Vice President JD Vance will make an appearance in Austin on Monday, and city officials are preparing with road closures that stretch into Tuesday morning. 

According to the Financial Times, Vance is headlining a Republican National Committee fundraiser, though a representative for Vance declined to confirm with the site or give additional details.

The vice president will then appear at similar fundraisers in Dallas and Nashville on March 24 and 30, respectively. 

ATX Transportation and Public Works announced a Cesar Chavez Street closure stretching from Brazos Street to I-35. The closure will last from noon on Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday.
