UPDATE: A 65-year-old Oklahoma woman was killed when she was ejected from her motorcycle Thursday afternoon, Oct. 23 in West El Paso, El Paso Police said.

Police said Yolanda Rainey, 65, of Oklahoma was riding her motorcycle at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday when she approached the intersection of Resler and High Ridge.

She attempted to make a left turn onto High Ridge and she hit a curb, collided into a rock wall and was thrown from her bike.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

This is the 53rd traffic fatality of 2025 inside the El Paso city limits compared to 55 at the same time last year.

ORIGINAL STORY: One person was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle crash on Thursday, Oct. 23, in West El Paso.

The call came in at 2:35 p.m. at Resler and High Ridge, according to the El Paso Fire Department (EPFD).

The person was taken to the hospital by FireSTAR in critical condition (Code 3), EPFD added.
