The Dallas Stars are officially headed to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fifth straight year. Here’s when Round 1 tickets go on sale.

DALLAS — The Dallas Stars are officially headed to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

On Sunday, Dallas had the chance to secure its own fate and guarantee a spot in the playoffs, but was denied by the Vegas Golden Knights, who beat the Stars 3-2. But, later in the day, the Utah Mammoth did the Stars a solid, beating the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in overtime and clinching the Stars’ appearance in the playoffs anyway.

This is the Stars’ fifth straight trip to the playoffs, and the team’s 21st playoff appearance overall since moving to Dallas in 1993. In each of the last three seasons, the Stars reached the Western Conference Final, only to come up short of reaching the Stanley Cup Final. Since moving toe Dallas, the team has reached the championship round three times — in 1999, 2000 and 2020. The Stars’ only Stanley Cup championship came in that 1999 season.

The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs will begin Saturday, April 18, and it’s not yet clear when the NHL will schedule Game 1 of the Stars’ First Round series. It’s also still a ways off from knowing who the Stars will play in that opening playoff round — although, at the time of this writing, the team has the second-best record in the league, trailing only their division rival Colorado Avalanche.

Still, we do know this much: Tickets for the Star’s opening round 2026 playoff series will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, according to the NHL. Suites will be available for booking at a later date, officials said.

If you download, or currently have, the Official Dallas Stars Mobile App with notifications turned on, you can get exclusive access to tickets on April 7, the NHL said.  Fans can also sign up for free Dallas Stars Insider emails to get access to an exclusive sale on April 8, the release  from the league states.

More details will soon be available here.Â
