On Sunday night, Dallas Police found a man fatally shot in the head, officials said. A 35-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
DALLAS — A 35-year-old man was arrested after Dallas police found a man fatally shot in the head outside of a home in West Oak Cliff, officials said.Â
Officers responded around 8:42 p.m. on Sunday, March 22 to the 400 block of North Westmoreland Road, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release. Investigators found that an unidentified man was shot in the head at the scene. The man died at the scene, police said.Â
Police on the scene told WFAA crews they found a body in the front yard next to a truck. A search of the house was also conducted, according to the officers on scene.Â
Police identified 35-year-old Fredy Salinas as the suspect in the shooting, the release states. In an interview with detectives, he reportedly told police he was responsible for the shooting, police said.Â
Officers recovered a handgun on the scene, and Salinas was taken to Dallas County Jail where he was charged with murder.
