MONUMENT, Colo. (KKTV) – El Paso County crews announced they will continue construction along Beacon Lite Road, changing traffic conditions and causing potential delays in the project area.
Crews said the area between Wakonda Way and Bricker Road will experience changing traffic patterns and potential delays as they work on the northbound side of Beacon Lite Road.
Crews said drivers should take the alternative route shown at the top of this article, especially for large trucks and vehicles making deliveries. Crews said signs will be posted to help guide drivers.
According to El Paso County, crews will focus on digging trenches, relocating utilities and installing storm sewers while completing the east half of the roadway alignment.
Crews said once the project is complete, traffic will be shifted and work will begin on the west half of the roadway.
El Paso County crews said the project is expected to last through April.
