LAFAYETTE, La. (KLTV) – Former Rains Lady Cat Sage Hoover picked up her sixth win of the season in Louisiana’s 6-1 victory over Texas State on Sunday.
The junior has a 4.14 ERA in 69 1/3 innings this season.
Hoover pitched all seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits while striking out one and walking one. On Friday, Hoover tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings of relief in the Ragin’ Cajuns’ win over Texas State.
Louisiana improved to 19-13 overall. The Ragin’ Cajuns host McNeese for a midweek tilt on Tuesday.
