The Plano City Council on Monday will mull over an economic development agreement with a company looking to purchase the former Napa Auto Parts store on Route 34.

The agreement with Riverside Powersports of Ottawa is on the Committee of the Whole agenda. The regular meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Plano City Hall, 17 E. Main St., with the Committee of the Whole meeting to follow.

Under the agreement, the city would rebate 100 percent of the business’s sales taxes in the first year. The split would then shift, with the city keeping 25 percent and gradually more over the next seven years. There will not be a vote on the agreement until a later meeting.

Also on the docket are more routine items, such as the payment of about $954,500 in bills and discussion of the city budget.
