The Dallas Stars suddenly find themselves on a losing streak after the weekend. Luckily, they won’t have to wait long for an opportunity to bounce back.
Dallas returns to the ice Tuesday night to face the New Jersey Devils at American Airlines Center. While the Stars look to keep pace with the NHL’s best teams, the Devils are looking to move up from the depths of the Metropolitan Division.

The numbers favor Dallas
It’s been a while since the Stars have stumbled against the Devils. The last time Dallas suffered a loss against New Jersey was in March of 2024. Dallas has already beaten New Jersey once this season, claiming a 3-0 win in New Jersey in December.
The Stars hold an advantage in the all-time series against New Jersey, leading 64-44-13. That includes a 36-16-9 record on home ice.
An opponent to keep an eye on
While the Devils have struggled for much of the 2025-26 season, it appears they have found some positive momentum in recent weeks. New Jersey was on a three-game win streak before it fell 2-1 against the Washington Capitals on Friday. Forward Jesper Bratt is a key part of the Devils’ recent surge.
Bratt is on a five-game point streak, posting seven points (three goals, four assists) since March 12. He has recorded a total of 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 14 career games against the Stars.
To keep the Devils neutralized, Dallas will have to slow down Bratt’s productive streak.
