With less than two weeks to go, anticipation is running high as 26 designers race toward the finish line at this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas. Now in its sixth year, the celebrated event opens to the public on Nov. 7, returning once again to the storied French Renaissance estate at 2999 Turtle Creek Blvd.
If the sneak-peek renderings released last week are any indication, the location itself may be the only constant. Behind its historic façade, each room is being reimagined with daring color pairings, unexpected layers of pattern and texture, and ceilings and walls that serve as statements of their own — proof that tradition and innovation can coexist under one roof.
Prepare to be wowed: Kips Bay recently released renderings of the rooms underway.

Another noticeable change is the wider range of designers. This year’s mix includes talent from as far away as London.
We caught up with Nazira Handal, director of special events and corporate partnerships at Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, to talk about the evolution
CandysDirt.com: As the Dallas Show House heads into its sixth year, what stands out to you as the most significant ways it has grown or changed since the early editions?
Nazira Handal: What really stands out is the increasing creativity of each space. It’s no longer just about beautiful rooms but about pushing design boundaries and inspiring the community in new ways.

CD: This year’s lineup pulls in designers from across the country and even abroad. What do you think that says about the visibility and influence of the Dallas edition?
NH: Bringing in talent from across the U.S. and internationally proves that Dallas has earned a spot on the global design map. Designers want to be part of this event because it’s a platform that celebrates bold ideas and connects them with an engaged, design-savvy audience. It speaks volumes about the Show House’s influence and credibility.
CD: Dallas has such a distinct design personality. How do you keep that spirit alive while bringing in voices from other markets?
NH: Dallas design is all about sophistication with a sense of play. We encourage visiting designers to embrace that spirit while bringing their own style.
The mix of perspectives keeps the Show House fresh and exciting while still feeling authentically Dallas
CD: From your perspective, what does having a broader mix of designers mean for sponsors, partners, and the audiences you’re reaching?
NH: A wider mix of designers creates more opportunities for everyone. Sponsors and partners get increased exposure and association with innovation, while audiences experience a richer, more dynamic range of styles and ideas.
CD: What excites you most about the 2025 Show House and what guests can expect when they walk through the doors this November?
NH: We are excited to return to the same fantastic location, but with a reimagined layout and new rooms that have been opened for this edition. Guests can expect inspiring spaces that showcase each designer’s creativity, with surprises and details that make the experience feel fresh and exciting, even for those familiar with the house. It’s a chance to see how a beloved space can be reimagined in entirely unexpected ways.
