COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – It was a tough weekend for Aggie fans. Texas A&M’s March Madness run is over after a loss to Houston in the second round. The second-seeded Cougars beat the Aggies 88-57 on Saturday.

While the Aggies are out, the Sweet Sixteen is just getting started. 16 teams remain, and the regional semifinals begin Thursday, March 26, which will cut the field from 16 to eight.

Texas A&M’s rival, Texas, is still alive and will face second-seeded Purdue on Thursday at 6:10 p.m. central.

Texas A&M’s March Madness run is over, and the Sweet Sixteen is set to begin Thursday. Here’s the schedule and what bettors are predicting for the next round.

Following Purdue and Texas on Thursday, Nebraska plays Iowa at 6:30 p.m. central, Arizona takes on Arkansas at 8:45 p.m. central, and Houston faces Illinois at 9:05 p.m. central. The South Regional is being played in Houston at the Toyota Center.

For those tracking Thursday’s games, Kalshi, a legal prediction market where bettors place real money, lists Purdue as the heavy favorite over Texas at 75%. Arizona is listed at a 78% chance to beat Arkansas.

There are no perfect brackets left in this year’s tournament, according to the NCAA.

That ended after two Sunday upsets: ninth-seeded Iowa beat defending champion Florida 73-72, and sixth-seeded Tennessee took down third-seeded Virginia 79-72.

Kalshi’s odds also favor Houston over Illinois at 60% to 41%. Nebraska holds a slight edge over Iowa, 56% to 46%, the closest matchup on Thursday.

Looking ahead to Friday, Kalshi lists Michigan as the favorite over Alabama, 82% to 18%. Duke is favored over St. John’s, 72% to 30%, and Iowa State leads Tennessee, 64% to 38%.

The closest Friday game is UConn vs. Michigan State, with Kalshi giving UConn a 55% chance and Michigan State a 46% chance.

As for winning the national title, Kalshi bettors favor Michigan at 22%, Arizona at 21%, and Duke at 18%.
