A major dust storm developed due to winds gusting anywhere from 60 to 85 mph around the area. Visibility was reduced to near zero over much of West Texas thanks to those winds. Levelland received the highest wind gusts of 85 mph. Property damage was somewhat limited but there were flipped farm trailers/equipment and some signs, roofs and utility lines that suffered as well.
