Grandma’s Country Kitchen, located at 7035 Marvin D. Love Freeway, is now open.

The restaurant has grown from what started as a family tradition into a place where everyone’s welcome, according to their website

Menu items include made-from-scratch sides such as mashed potatoes, corn and green beans, to crispy fried entrees such as chicken tenders and Southern-style catfish fillets.

Dessert options from the in-house pastry chef also include sweet potato pie, peach cobbler and chocolate cake, just to name a few.

The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
