Construction at the Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth and paving along Legacy Drive in Prosper are two of many new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR in the past week.

1. Cook Children’s West Tower expansion

Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth will have a new 750,000-square-foot building with 10 levels, according to a TDLR filing. The expansion is part of a 10-year plan to meet the Fort Worth area’s growth, according to a news release. The tower will be funded by a mix of operations, bonds and the Cook Children’s Health Foundation. Construction is estimated to take a little less than four years.

A new four-story hotel with 117 guest rooms will be constructed along North Hardin Boulevard in McKinney, according to a TDLR filing. The Residence Inn is estimated to be constructed in about a year and a half.

The town of Prosper will have new pavement and drainage improvements along Legacy Drive from Prosper Trail to Parvin Road, according to a TDLR filing. Prosper Town Council approved a roadway design, construction and reimbursement agreement at a regular meeting Dec. 9, per previous reporting. Construction is estimated to take less than a year to complete.

A new bank branch with a drive-thru is scheduled for construction in Frisco, according to a TDLR filing. Bank 7 currently has two locations in the DFW area, including in Frisco and Irving. Construction is estimated to take less than a year to complete.

A new fuel station kiosk will be constructed at the incoming H-E-B in Denton, according to a TDLR filing. The station will have eight fueling stations and a 998-square-foot car wash. It will be the first H-E-B in the city, per previous reporting. Construction for the fuel station and car wash is estimated to last through the summer.
