LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Texas Department of Transportation is performing routine road maintenance beginning today on FM 41 (Division St.) in Slaton.
The scrub seal operations will require various daytime lane and side-street closures. Traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car. Drivers should expect slow moving traffic and delays.
Scrub sealing operations consist of applying a layer of asphalt or emulsion to the roadway, followed by sand to fill in cracks on the roadway’s surface.
Drivers are advised to pay attention and slow down as they enter the work area for their safety and the safety of the crew. Work will take place weather permitting and is expected to be done by the end of Wednesday.
