FORT WORTH – Fred A. Pettigrew went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 93 at home in the care of his sister, Joyce Haberzettle. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, in the Sandburg Suite at Mount Olivet. Fred was born January 3, 1933 in Covington, Texas to Jayde Pettigrew and Katie Queen Pettigrew. He was a surveyor with the City of Fort Worth and retired with over 40 years of service. He was also a member of Northwest Church of Christ. He was a lifelong bachelor and was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Pettigrew, Vernon Pettigrew, John Pettigrew, Anthony Pettigrew, Jim Pettigrew, and Tim Pettigrew; sisters, Doris Hansen, Mildred Evans, and Liz Carlson; and best friend of over 63 years, Louis Hansen.
