LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Community National Bank hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony today for its new Milwaukee Avenue branch.
The ceremony was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 7904 Milwaukee Ave (79th and Milwaukee Avenue). The ribbon cutting ceremony was followed by an open house event.
According to a news release, the bank acquired the property in 2025 with plans to renovate a second branch location to serve Lubbock and its residents.

The new location is a 5,366-square-foot, full-service branch.
The CNB team, executive staff, board members, customers and community members were in attendance today.
Sterling Swack, president of CNB, made the move to Lubbock from Odessa after 12 years in the Permian Basin. Now, he’s been with CNB for the past nine years, he said.
“The city of Lubbock is growing and Community National Bank is excited to grow with it,” Swack said. “We’re highly involved with the community. We want to grow the relationships not only with the people but with the businesses. Lubbock grows with us.”

Swack said he’s excited for he and his family to be in Lubbock. He said one of the goals for CNB, like he has for himself, is to grow the roots in Lubbock and embrace the Hub City.
“We want the feeling of comfortable, open conversations. We want people to be themselves,” he said. “That’s people we have here. We have people that are going to be real with you. We have people that want to talk about your family, your faith and your finances. Some of those are the hardest things to talk about but that’s what we want to talk about with (the community).”
