AUSTIN, Texas — Crews are working to remove an 18-wheeler that became stuck under a bridge along Interstate 35 in Central Austin Tuesday evening.

According to the Austin Police Department, the incident happened around 7 p.m. at 1100 N IH 35 Northbound, under the 11th Street bridge. Officials said the truck was carrying a load that was too tall and became lodged under the overpass.

Authorities confirmed the vehicle is not a typical tractor-trailer and requires additional coordination to remove it. Austin police, fire crews, and the Texas Department of Transportation are working together to free the truck, a process that could take up to two hours.
