San Antonio traffic is off to a rocky start on the eastside on Tuesday, March 24, as a major crash is causing delays on a well-traveled highway. The incident happened at around 6:54 a.m., according to the traffic monitoring site Sig Alert, but drivers are still feeling the impact.

Folks taking Loop 410 North should expect it to move slowly at FM-78, near Exit 32. The right lane is blocked after a vehicle caught fire, though it has since been extinguished. Commuters are backed up to Southcross Boulevard and Exit 37. There is major congestion near the site, and those passing through are being told to expect delays of up to one hour.

SigAlert reports that the San Antonio Fire Department is at the scene. MySA reached out to the agency for more information. It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt in the incident at the time.
