Ongoing construction will alter the traffic flow through a major downtown Dallas intersection starting today.
The City of Dallas announced the traffic switch at the intersection of Pearl and Flora streets in a Tuesday press release.
Beginning March 25, only southbound Pearl St. traffic—from Woodall Rodgers Freeway (Spur 366) toward Ross Ave.—will be able to cross the intersection at Flora St.
Northbound Pearl St. lanes going toward the freeway will be closed.
The intersection is adjacent to the Meyerson Symphony Center and the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and one block from Klyde Warren Park.
According to the press release, the change reverses the arrangement that for weeks only allowed northbound traffic from Ross Ave. Message boards placed on the site in mid-March alerted drivers of this reversal ahead of time.
