Can someone please check on Mother Nature because she is skipping Spring in El Paso by bringing us Summer heat WAY too early!! *Cries in Spanish*
However, it’s not just El Paso who will be dealing with record warmth this week. According to meteorologists, a powerful high-pressure system is building across the United States right now and it’s bringing the heat with it. Meteorologists are calling it a “heat dome,” a weather pattern that traps hot air underneath it like a lid, causing temperatures to climb fast and stick around longer than usual.
This rare March heat wave is already making headlines nationwide. A small town near Martinez Lake, Arizona just shattered a record by hitting a scorching 110 degrees!! Temperatures we typically don’t see until late May or even early summer. El Paso is now bracing for a stretch of unusually hot days that could put several temperature records in serious danger.
El Paso’s HOT Forecast For The Week Ahead:
El Paso is heating up fast and we’re not just talking about a typical warm spring week. Forecast models show temperatures climbing well above average, with multiple days flirting with or even breaking record highs. AND IT’S NOT EVEN SUMMER YET!!!

Wednesday:
The heat cranks up even more, sending temperatures soaring to around 99 degrees. That’s nearly triple digits in March. The current record is 90 degrees (set in 2012), which could easily be broken.
Thursday:
More of the same intense heat. Sunny skies, hot winds, and another high near 99 degrees. The record to beat? 87 degrees (set just last year in 2025).
Friday:
A cold front moves in, bringing cooler air and a noticeable drop in temperatures with a high around 76 degrees. However, the winds will pick up significantly ranging from 15–40 mph and could kick up dust, creating hazy conditions.
Bottom line: Mother Nature hates us. Just kidding, but on a serious note, stay hydrated, limit time in the sun during peak hours, and maybe go ahead and treat it like summer… because honestly, Mother Nature forgot to give El Paso Spring weather!!
