A fuel spill from a crash has closed eastbound lanes of I-820 near Holiday Lane; police say cleanup efforts is expected to last through rush hour.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Eastbound lanes of Interstate 820 near Holiday Lane are closed Wednesday afternoon due to a crash that caused a fuel spill, according to North Richland Hills police.

While no injuries were reported, the department says cleanup crews are working at the scene, and the closure is expected to last through rush hour and possibly into the evening as hazmat teams complete their work.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while the cleanup continues.
